Which Fly is That ?

No Comments Uncategorized

Tying Flies at WILSON'S At the risk of sounding like a bunch of over-zealous fly fishers, this is a great opportunity !

If you want to catch more fish you should plan on coming to our store on Saturday 21 November between 10 am and 1 pm for a fly fisherman’s entomology workshop with aquatic biologist Ian Martin, author of “Fly Fishing the Grand River”. Ian literally ‘wrote the book’ on fly fishing the Grand River and will be in our store with live aquatic insects to teach an intimate 3 hour course on how to identify the important hatches for fly anglers in southern Ontario.

This is a unique way to get up close and personal with the bugs that make or break a good day’s trout fishing. If that isn’t enough, after the course has been completed Ian will have an “Open Vise” at which he will share a few of the patterns he has developed for the Grand River and other well known fly fishing destinations in Southern Ontario.

The price to attend this special 3 hour course is $50 per person and seating is limited so call the store to reserve your spot today ! [Please note that payment in full is required to reserve your spot]
