Last Saturday we had some guys walk into the store looking for a reel. They had their sites set on a higher end product and when they questioned our pricing quickly found out that they could buy it in our store at a price better than they order it themselves from south of the border.
However, that wasn’t good enough. They proceeded to suggest that we should sell it to them for less than the US price AND not factor in the Canadian exchange, shipping or duty. This in spite of the fact that we were offering it at the best price available !
As our regular customers well know we appreciate people challenging us on pricing because we are confident that we have the best pricing policy in Canada. However, there is a difference between questioning our pricing (which is okay) and busting our balls (which has no place in any business discussion). We treat all of our customers fairly and only ask that we get treated the same in return.
Needless to say these guys walked out of our store without buying the reel. Some people’s kids…
