If good hatch charts are the ‘holy grail’ of fly fishing (which by the way are available in the Members area of our website), good access maps are the ‘arc of the covenant’ (Holy Andy! It must be getting close to Easter because this posting is lousy with religious analogies…).
When we were shown a while back some of the cool things that you can do with GoogleMaps we decided to see if we can improve the access maps we have been photocopying. We think the following maps are a step in the right direction and hope you like them (BTW – you can add these as ‘apps’ to your iphone and carry them with you on the river).
These fly fishing maps show anglers where to park and indicate only in a general direction where to fish and it is worth noting that ALL of this information is already
available in the public domain. What we want to do is simply help educate anglers – especially beginners and those people new to the area. We are fortunate to have some extraordinary fly fishing available in Southern Ontario and believe that by getting more people fishing our rivers and streams they will become self-policing and poachers and unethical anglers will be reported. To that end, if you see a poacher just jot down a description (better yet take a picture of them and their license plate) and contact the Ministry of Natural Resources at 1-877-TIPS-MNR (847-7667).
We are working on other access maps for our website so watch for details in the coming weeks. In the interim, we hope the following come in handy!
Tight Lines!

NOTES:
*You have to click on the actual link for each river because the titles of the rivers link to the entry above. I’m sure you will figure it out… Sorry for the inconvenience.
**These maps are based on general knowledge and are not intended to be legal in nature. What that means is this: if you find an access posted please respect the land owner’s rights and ask permission – do not trespass on private property.
