Ontario Fly Fishing Hatch Charts

No Comments Uncategorized

I was speaking with a client the other day about the importance of hatch charts in fly fishing. He said that while they may not be the ‘Holy Grail’ of our sport they might just qualify as our ‘Ark of the Covenant’ because within these charts can be found the keys to creating our own little piece of heaven on the water.

Many of our clients have told us that the best hatch charts for the Grand River and its tributaries including the Connestogo River, the Credit River and the Saugeen River and its tributaries including the Mad River, the Boyne River and the Pretty River are found on our website. It is always good to hear this and we get an even bigger charge when we tell people they can print these hatch charts from our website at no charge. We encourage you to print them off and give them to your friends and if you want more charts come into our store to pick up similar charts for Whiteman’s Creek, the Beaver River and the Bighead River.

Unlike other hatch charts you may have seen in the past that only list the flies and include a basic calendar of the weeks when the flies are hatching, our hatch charts include pictures of each fly, their imitation and the best times of day to use them. If you have not taken the time to check them out we encourage you to do so – they might just make the difference between a good day and a great day on the water !
