New WILSON’S Team Member

WILSON’S is pleased to announce that Sheldon Seale has joined WILSON’S to head up our fly tying program. Sheldon has been fishing for most of his life and fly fishing and tying for more than twenty years. As an instructor and guide, he has introduced hundreds of people to the sport and the art of fly tying. A frequent speaker and tying demonstrator at fly fishing clubs and related associations, Sheldon has presented at the Canadian Fly Fishing Forum, Grand River Opportunities and has represented Canada at the International Fly Tying Symposium. His articles have been published in various periodicals and he is the current Fly Tying Editor of the Canadian Fly Fisher magazine.

Sheldon has participated in various conservation activities, is a member of Trout Unlimited Canada and served for 5 years as the president of the Izaak Walton Fly Fishing Club, Canada’s largest club dedicated to teaching the arts and crafts of fly fishing and tying to the public.

When he gets the chance from his busy work schedule, Sheldon enjoys fly fishing for trout, bass, and especially his favorite fish, small stream Brook Trout. In addition to local waters Sheldon has fly fished for Cutthroat Trout in British Columbia, stalked Great Lakes tributaries for Steelhead, floated Alberta’s famous Bow River for big Browns and Rainbows, waded for Atlantic Salmon in Labrador and braved the surf for Striped Bass on Cape Cod. When not involved in fly fishing, Sheldon lives in Mississauga with his family.
