I decided to start my weekend early yesterday afternoon and left the office at 3:30 pm in order to join 2 friends and end the work week fly fishing the Upper Credit River. We decided to meet at the Dominion Street Bridge at the Forks of the Credit so whoever arrived first could fish while he waited for the others. Once together we doubled back to the Sligo Bridge on Mcglaughlin Road where we followed the trail upriver. We have had some significant rain in the last couple of days and the water level in the river is up at least 15 cm and cloudy.
If you are planning on heading up to the Forks in the coming days what you should know is this: bring large, black stone fly patterns!
