Fly Fishing Ontario’s Saugeen River

No Comments Uncategorized

The Saugeen River is one of Southern Ontario’s best fly fishing destinations because this river is renowned for its populations of brown trout, brook trout, small and large mouth bass, pike and muskie. The Saugeen itself crosses much of southwestern Ontario’s agricultural belt but is seldom seen from the road as it is typically sheltered by heavy forest. For those interested in drifting the river the ‘official’ route begins in Hanover Town Park and then flows 102 km (63 miles) to Denny’s Dam near Southampton on Lake Huron. Our team of fly fishing guides know this water well so if you are looking for an enjoyable day on the water call us to book your trip today !
