“Esma Wilson’s Cast for Cancer” is a fund raising initiative that will be taking place on the fly casting lane at the Toronto Sportsmen’s Show March 17-21 to benefit the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation. Named after Jim’s mother who passed away in August 2008 from non-hodgkins lymphoma, everyone who makes a minimum recommended donation of $5 will be given the opportunity to hit targets on the fly casting lane and have their name and email address entered into a draw for prizes donated by the fly fishing industry. Earlier this week we started sending out invitations to our friends and associates asking them to consider making a donation and we are very pleased that the Ontario fly fishing community is getting behind this initiative !
Everyone is welcome to participate and by everyone we mean fly shops, guides, instructors, clubs and manufacturers. In particular, fly shops, guides and lodges are invited to donate whatever they can.
