Many have been asking if we are planning to open our small satellite store this year at the Forks of the Credit in Caledon and we are pleased to announce that it is opening Saturday July 11th. Those of you who have been there in years past know that to call this location a fly shop is ‘a bit’ of an over-statement. It is in fact an ice cream store that offers a small freezer full of water, soft drinks and Gatoraid and we stock leaders, tippet, fly fishing accessories on the wall with a collection of flies needed for fishing the Upper Credit. It is intended to be an ‘emergency stop’ where you can get some of the items you forgot, broke or don’t have because there is no other place on the river to do so. So be forewarned – if you are looking for a true fly shop you will be sorely disappointed – but the ice cream is cold !
The shop will be open on weekends from 11 am until 6 pm so please stop in to say hello when you’re in the area !
